Powerful architects of media will speak at TSUCommWeek

The nation’s leading innovators of media, music and film headline Texas Southern University’s School of Communication’s annual conference scheduled for March 25-29 in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanities building.

This year’s event is being held in conjunction with the 38th Intercultural Communication Conference in which “Millennium: Honoring the past, treasuring the present, shaping the future” will be the theme.

Some of the nation’s leading media ambassadors including journalists, filmmakers, tech-preneurs TV and radio personalities, content creators, and scholars will share their perspectives.

“The week-long conference will include innovative presentations, interactive demonstrations and integrative communications that will enlighten and inspire our students and the global community, “ said Professor Kimberlyn Mitchell, chairperson of the #TSUCommWeek 2019 committee.

On Monday, March 25, there will be a speed networking event, Network to show your net worth and all week in the production studio in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanities building professional headshots will be taken by the RTF 130 photography class (free of charge) to expand the students’ portfolios. Student work will be showcased throughout the week and the Dean’s Awards Reception will cap off the conference on Friday, March 29.
